Your Certification of Competence

What is the Stoa Charter?

The Stoa Charter is a certification of competence. As one of the first groups to pursue the Charter, you are literally co-creating this true "alternative" to a degree. The Charter can only be earned - not bought.

The Charter stands for competence, pride in the craft, rigour, better thinking and a great peer network - it will indicate to the external world that you have mastered the business concepts and the business thinking.

Stoa will invest our capital and resources in educating employers about the Charter and the Charter holders. We will celebrate YOU through the next few months if you earn it, bringing more attention to your success. You should expect inbounds from Stoa's hiring partners over time as well.

The process to earn the Charter itself is intense, and we expect original work on the business problems you choose to work on. This process will test your ability to research the markets and the users, make decisions while considering trade-offs and engage in structured thinking to solve a business problem.

Over a long time horizon, the Charter would provide you with a professional network as you go about building your career. We expect many Charter-holders to go on to build great careers and reach CXO titles.

After completing the Stoa program, candidates are expected to take the Stoa charter exam, which consists of a thesis defense in front of an external jury. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 60% on the mid and end term exams held during the program. Once they meet this requirement, they can begin the charter process, which involves submitting their assignment and completing the thesis defense, typically within one month.

The jury comprises of external industry leaders who are veterans and functional experts on various fields such as marketing, product, leadership, strategy, and business operations

Candidates who do not pass the Stoa charter exam will still receive a program completion certificate and graduate as a Stoa fellow. However, those who pass the charter exam will also be awarded a digital badge and certificate as a Stoa Charterholder. This badge is a symbol of achievement and signifies that the candidate has demonstrated their competence in front of an external jury, placing them among the top performers and merit holders in the Stoa program.

The Stoa charter assignment serves as strong evidence of a candidate’s skills and knowledge, making them a more competitive candidate for high-growth job roles. In addition, the assignment provides a valuable opportunity for candidates to receive feedback directly from industry leaders and to demonstrate their competence in front of an external jury, further bolstering their credentials. L1s are Generalists

The L1 is a testament to one’s problem-solving abilities and understanding of core business fundamentals. L1s work across domains, and offers no specialization currently.

Stoa L2

₹ 16 LPA

The minimum salary offered to L2s. Placed in Lead / Manager Tier Roles.

L2s are Specialists

Clearing the L2 attests to a deep grasp a core business domain. The L2 is currently offered in 3 specializations – Marketing, Product and BizOps.

What will be the career trajectory after Stoa? Can I switch my current role?

However, success depends on an individual's hard work and dedication to their goals, supported by Stoa's career assistance resources. Our fellows have switched roles, functions and industries. They have received average salaries of around 15-16LPA and some have received salaries in the range of 40LPA as well.

Do you guarantee placements?

What happens if my company doesn’t approve Stoa as a recognised program?

With Stoa's career assistance resources, individuals can create an impressive portfolio and connect with potential employers and industry professionals, regardless of their company's recognition of the program.

What happens if I don't clear the Charter? Can I still show Stoa on my profile?

Upon completing the Stoa program with a 60% aggregate, individuals are granted access to placements and the optional charter exam.

However, if an individual does not pass the charter exam, they will not be awarded the charter holder certificate. Nevertheless, they will still receive the Stoa Program completion certificate and be granted access to valuable career assistance resources. Although individuals will not have the ability to showcase the Stoa Charter on their profile, they can still reference their completion of the Stoa program and the valuable knowledge and skills they have acquired.

Is there an income share agreement or a no-cost EMI?

We currently do not offer an income share agreement or a no-cost EMI option. However, we have partnered with reputed loan companies that provide education loans with EMIs starting from three months to forty-two months.

The Stoa community helps individuals in their growth by providing access to a vast network of professionals, which can lead to job opportunities and career growth.
